A quick estimation method for industrial lighting that illuminars need  know

When we help our guests design lighting solutions, how can we reasonably and scientifically meet the lighting conditions required by the space? If time permits and a computer is available, GE’s EUROPIC lighting software can complete indoor lighting calculations and lighting. When there is no computer at hand and time is pressing, the following quick estimation method can be used  quickly get a preliminary plan and cost budget, and guests can quickly Give us time  make adjustments in time for the finalization of the plan or the level of cost budget.

  1. First, we must learn the following table

North American Illuminating Engineering Society IES Industrial Lighting Recommended Planting Table

The fast estimation method takes the following assumptions as the calculation premise

  1. The maintenance lumen value irradiated on the working plane is half of the lumen of the new light source in the new lamp.

For example, if the bare luminous flux of the lamp is 3200Lm, the lumen value will be maintained=3200*0.5=1600Lm

  2. The size of the illuminated room is normal, the reflection coefficient of the surface coefficient of the room is normal, and the dust in the room is normal. (A room of general size refers  the height value MH from the working plane  the lower part of the lamp ).

  3. For a given room, only one type of lamp is used (when the height MH from the working plane  the lower part of the lamp is greater than 6 meters, a high-hanging lamp can be used, and when the MH is less than 6 meters, a low-hanging lamp can be used)

  Three, the calculation process

  1. Find the illuminance value A of the application place from the IES industrial lighting recommended value table (see table) of the Northern Illuminating Engineering Society

  2. Obtain the lumen value B of the light source from the light source supplier.

  3. Multiply the rated light source lumen value B by 0.5  get the light source  maintain lumen C

  4.

  5.

  6. When using high-hanging lamps, the lamp interval S is greater than the hanging height; or when using low-hanging lamps, the lamp interval S is greater than 1.5 times the hanging height, (the hanging height is: the height from the working surface  the botm of the lamp MH), if If the lamp interval S is o large, a light source with one level lower power should be selected, and the third step shall be repeated until the lamp interval S meets the requirements.

  7. Lighting principle: lamps should be spread from the middle  the boundary. When the rows or columns of lamps are odd, there should be one row or column of lamps on the center line. When the rows or columns of lamps are accidental, the nearest lamp  the center The distance from the center line should be half of the lamp interval S. The distance between the lamp closest  the wall and the wall is less than or equal  0.5S.
