　　Living creatures rely on breathing  maintain their lives, while lamps rely on "respirars", that is, "waterproof, dustproof, and breathable valves." Aladdin All-Media collaborated with Gore, Signify, Op and Yajiang Opelectronics  initiate a study on the "Additional Value of Ventilation Valves  Lamps" and jointly participate in the application of "Ventilation Valves (Respirars)" in popular science.

　　First of all, the main purpose of the waterproof and dustproof breathable valve is  quickly balance the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the lamp, prevent water and dust from entering the inside of the lamp, so as  ensure the normal operation of the lamp.

　　Previously, we conducted a comparison experiment on the size of the air permeability of Gore's high air permeability vent valve and the industry's representative high air permeability vent valve.

　　From the test results, the air permeability of the typical high air permeability products in the industry is about 1300ml/min, while the air permeability of Gore's high air permeability products is about 6800ml/min, which is far greater than the others in the industry. A representative high-volume vent valve. The ultra-high air permeability of Gore products can balance the internal and external pressures of the lamps more quickly, and protect the airtightness of the lamps more effectively. The high air permeability can also meet the pressure balance requirements of the lamp under some extreme environmental conditions, for example, when the lamp has been working in a PMF2.5 heavily polluted environment for a long time and the air permeability decreases.

　　As mentioned above, the membrane material used by Gore's waterproof, dust-proof and breathable valve is self-developed ePTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), which gives Gore an absolute advantage in the development and use of membrane materials. ePTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is a hydrophobic and oleophobic material with low surface energy. It has a porous structure equivalent  the molecular size and can withstand a certain water pressure. ePTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) itself is classified as a major category of plastics, commonly known as the plastic king. Its weather resistance, UV resistance, inertness, and stability are quite high. It is resistant  chemical decomposition, wind and rain, and it is difficult  affect the external environment.

　　In terms of product design and structural reliability, Gore products are significantly different from those in the industry. The film of Gore products can be a single pure film-expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), or a layer of film with a polyester PET backing. The PET backing is used  strengthen the support strength and prevent the film from deformation and damage. practice.

　　Waterproof and dustproof breathable valves are widely used in the lighting industry. Regarding the importance of breathable valves, Signify, Optronics, and Yajiang Opelectronics all mentioned in interviews:

　　1. The breather valve guarantees the quality and reliability of the lamps, has an important influence on the service life of the lamps, and plays an indispensable role;

　　2. The breather valve can ensure the timely balance of the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the lamp, reduce the pressure on the lamp shell, and avoid structural failure of the shell;

　　3. Improved the waterproof reliability, so that the waterproof level of the lamp reaches IP67, which effectively guarantees the long-term lighting effect of the lamp in terms of performance.

　　Due  the different use and design of lamps and lanterns, the influencing facrs will be different. As a leading enterprise in commercial lighting and home furnishing, Cheng Zhengguang, the leader of the technical project team of its product development department, added: "During the product design verification process, we It was found that the use of a high-permeability breathable valve can effectively reduce the situation that the plastic lens mask of the waterproof and sealed floodlight is bulging and deformed due  the internal air pressure being higher than the external air pressure during the working process, resulting in the light distribution performance that does not meet the requirements. It is also possible  use a breathable valve with moisture permeability function, supplemented by a suitable lamp heat distribution design method,  effectively avoid the common outdoor lamp condensation problem on the inner wall of the mask."

　　Yajiang Opelectronics is a well-known brand of stage lighting Sliverstar and landscape lighting (Arctik). The use of vent valves is very common in its products, and it has a say in the application of vent valves. Based on more than ten years of experience in the use of vent valves, Yajiang has further realized the importance of the impact of the advantages and disadvantages of vent valves on lamps. In the interview with Yajiang R&D staff, we learned that, in addition  the above-mentioned protective effects, high-quality breather valves can also "avoid the failure of the seals and shell leakage of Yajiang products, reduce the generation of water vapor, and make the lamps obstructive. The flammability rating reaches UL94 V-0, which can ensure that the product perfectly meets the requirements of the US market. In terms of technology, the overall simple integration of the breather valve and the characteristics of quick and standardized installation also greatly facilitate product manufacturing, application, and maintenance."

　　The international lighting giant Signify also expressed important points. At the same time, it also guarantees the performance of the product and extends the life of the lamp."
