In the past, when discussing the application fields of LEDs, many people would think of smart homes, offices and aumotive fields. However, with the continuous development of society and the gradual fullness of these fields, LEDs have begun  move wards the industrial field. LED lights and traditional There is a big difference in the performance of LED lamps, so when you want  buy a suitable and satisfacry LED lamp, which parameters should be paid attention ?

1. Illumination

Illumination refers  the visible luminous flux per unit area. The intensity of light is a physical term, and the unit is Lux. LED lighting should ensure the comfort and safety of personnel while achieving appropriate illuminance. The proper illuminance can balance the lighting level of the entire ground area and work surface. The following is the illuminance requirements for lighting, refer  the national or international CIE recommended standards in the "Industrial Lighting Design Standards".



2. Brightness

Brightness refers  the physical quantity of the luminous intensity on the surface of the luminous body. The human eye observes the light source from one direction. The ratio of the light intensity in this direction  the area of the light source seen by the human eye is the brightness of the light source unit, and the unit of brightness is candela/square meter (cd/㎡). It is a person's perception of the intensity of light, which is different from illuminance. These two quantities are often confused in everyday language. Brightness is also called lightness, which indicates how bright or dark a color is.

Luminous flux: the tal amount of light emitted by the luminous body per second. Unit: Lumens (Lm), which indicates how much the luminous body emits. The more luminous, the greater the lumens. Generally, the LED lamp description is marked with luminous flux, and the brightness of the LED lamp can be judged according  the luminous flux. The higher the luminous flux, the higher the brightness of the lamp. 

3. Color temperature

The color temperature is the unit of measurement for identifying the color of the light, and it is expressed by the K value. Yellow light is "below 3300k", white light is "above 5300k", and there is another intermediate color "3300k-5300k". The higher the value, the whiter, the lower the yellower. Of course, the appropriate color temperature can also be selected according  the lighting application site and the needs of the operars.

4. Leakage current

LED is a unidirectional conductive light-emitting body. If there is a reverse current, it is called leakage. LEDs with high leakage current will have a shorter lifespan.

5. Antistatic ability

The LED lamp with strong antistatic ability has a long life and will be slightly higher in price. Generally, LEDs with anti-static voltage greater than 700V can be used for LED lighting.

6. Protection level

IP is the abbreviation of Ingress and Protection. The IP level is the protection level for the enclosure of electrical equipment against the intrusion of foreign objects, such as explosion-proof electrical appliances, waterproof and dustproof electrical appliances. The source is the International Electrotechnical Commission's standard IEC60529.

The protection level is usually expressed by IP followed by two numbers, and the numbers are used  clarify the protection level.

The first number indicates the anti-dust range of the equipment, or the degree  which people are protected from hazards in a sealed environment. It represents the level of preventing solid foreign objects from entering, and the highest level is 6;

The second number indicates the degree of water resistance of the equipment, which represents the level of protection against water ingress. The highest level is 8. The larger the number, the higher the protection level.
